Pakistan air strike on Afghanistan: 15 Afghans killed

Islamabad: Neighboring Pakistan has carried out air strikes in Afghanistan. Pakistani Air Force fighter jets targeted seven villages including Laman in Barmal district of Paktika province. Pakistani officials claimed that they destroyed a training camp of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and killed several terrorists in the attack. According to a Khaama Press report, the attack took place on the night of December 24, killing 15 people, including women and children. The death toll is also expected to rise. This is the second attack by Pakistan on Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan targets inside Afghanistan since March. Pakistan had said that the attack was carried out in the border area inside Afghanistan in March based on intelligence. After the Pakistani attack, the Taliban’s defense ministry has threatened to take revenge. The Afghan Defense Ministry condemned the Pakistani airstrike, saying it targeted civilians, including women and children. It said most of the victims were refugees from the Waziristan region.
